Faetish Charm: Mercuric

Description

My own charm, which shall never go for sale; shall the Greek God of the everyday person bless my shop.

As some of you may notice, a Norse style pendant for Loki the Silver-Tongued is the centerpiece, which I shall explain through Hermes' role as a God. Hermes watched over travelers, merchant, AND thieves, all of whom interacted with each other; travelers would be blessed for good deals wherever they travel, and to suffer no unnecessary loss by theft; merchants would be blessed in an abundance of sales, and lack of stolen goods; finally, thieves (of course) were blessed with successful scams with high return in goods.

This charm was made to invoke Mercury (the more aggressive side of Hermes) and keep thieves at bay; to do this, when it hangs by the ring at it's top, it appears like a cadaecus; wings 'round the orb, a pair of twirling serpents, and the stave it rests upon (when the chain hangs down). By binding a symbol for untrustables in the center, it keeps successful theft from occurring.

Before I post too many of these, and anyone asks, I can not replicate any of these Faetish charms; each must be made different, preferably with a person in mind, or it shan't be as powerful. I will do a post at a later date explaining their history and how these should be made.
